Darwinium Recognized in the 2022 Gartner® Market Guide for Online Fraud Detection

We are super excited that Darwinium has been recognized in the recently released 2022 Gartner® Market Guide for Online Fraud Detection.

Gartner analysts, Akif Khan and Daniel Ayoub, recognize that “Detecting fraud in digital channels is a challenge, due to the competing requirements of dealing with emerging attack vectors and delivering a smooth user experience.” They recommend that “Security and risk management leaders must orchestrate multiple capabilities to create dynamic user journeys, while minimizing risk.”[1]

Darwinium has been built to address the challenges of legacy fraud solutions that operate with incomplete intelligence across ‘moments in time’, rather than continuously across a customer journey. Darwinium delivers this complete view, continuously assessing every digital interaction to identify bad behavior, streamline risk decisions and automate remediation, all in real time.

Targeting Emerging Attack Vectors: Adapting Faster than Fraudsters

Darwinium’s unique integration point at the perimeter edge allows businesses to adapt their risk strategy in real time according to the risk they are seeing. Fraudsters will always pivot to a new vulnerability. Legacy fraud solutions that rely solely on APIs often require weeks and months of engineering and IT resource to adapt to new attack vectors.

With Darwinium, business users, analysts and developers can manage customer journey orchestration live, conditionally inject additional third-party intelligence, add new rules and deploy new models, in direct response to new attacks.

Delivering a Smooth User Experience: Using Dynamic User Journeys

Customers don’t want to jump through authentication hoops just to satisfy risk thresholds. With Darwinium, businesses can dynamically tailor customer journeys on a per user basis, in real time.

This means that trusted behavior is rewarded with a smooth digital journey, while risky behavior can be diverted along a sliding scale of remediation. This could mean dynamically injecting additional authentication protocols, tailored messaging, diverting to a call centre or even blocking a transaction.

Orchestrating Multiple Capabilities: Building an Orchestration Platform Fit for Purpose

The complexity of managing multiple security and fraud solutions is a recurring challenge for digital businesses. Meaningful consolidation of solutions is key, but businesses still want the flexibility to orchestrate multiple capabilities without unnecessary work. Gartner recognises that “demand for.. journey-time orchestration (JTO) capabilities that can reduce the complexity of managing multiple OFD tools continues to grow”.[1]

Darwinium has proprietary capabilities including similarity signatures for bots, devices, behaviors, locations, transactions and content that can operate across complete user journeys, and can also integrate any third-party API, with a no-code or custom code configuration.

The Darwinium Difference

With Darwinium, businesses benefit because they can make faster, better risk decisions closer to their data, and customers benefit because they can enjoy the digital experience they expect. Darwinium is continuous customer protection across your entire digital presence.
